About Us

Although officially created in 2007 by dancer Elisabeth Holowchuk, the designs of Stylish Ink were actually born years earlier. While spending many hours driving back and forth to ballet class with her mother, Elisabeth would sit in the passenger seat and draw images from her classes and ballets she had seen. These images eventually adorned the fronts of hand made greeting cards for friends and family. They became a favorite holiday creation and those closest to her were encouraging the young Elisabeth to go into the greeting card business. But she didn't...

Instead, pursuing a professional ballet career took precedence and Elisabeth put aside her pens and pencils and picked up her tutu, toe shoes and tiara. The bright lights of the stage were calling. She continued to draw and sketch however and soon she had developed what would turn into a signature Stylish Ink design. Inspired by the beauty of classical and neo-classical ballet, simple lines that flow and move on the page are at the heart of all Stylish Ink creations. Similar to how a dancer uses their body to create shapes and lines within a given movement, Elisabeth uses lines and shapes to create the body and movement on the page.

about us photo2

In 2007 Elisabeth decided to lead her life as a double agent... Ballet Dancer by night and Greeting Card Designer by day. And with that, Stylish Ink was born. Here you will find an array of designs and products- each part of a series. Like different ballets, each series has it's own flair and flavor. Everything on the site is designed personally by Ms. Holowchuk and all of the hand made cards and products are painted, stamped or drawn by her hands. Here we believe in something created specifically and specially for you alone. Custom design has become our passion. We are proud to have designed works for The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, Capezio Ballet Makers, The New Jersey Civic Youth Ballet, Boston Ballet School, The New Jersey Ballet's 50th Anniversary Season, School of American Ballet Summer Program and others. The line of merchandise created for The Suzanne Farrell Ballet is sold nation wide and can be found on the Kennedy Center Gift Shop website.
